Push Beyond in 2024

As 2024 sets in and you get your goals and aspirations for the new year, we bring you some great advice from our athletes to help you push beyond this summer.  Plus, we get a little sneak peek at what their goals are for 2024!

3 Tips to Get Through Summer:

You deserve a break from the usual craziness of life, and Personal trainer and Sports Nutritionist Bec Correia shared this tip, “Keep active! There are a lot of social events in summer, so try to fit in a walk or some sort of activity every day if you can.”

Another great advice from Personal Trainer Tammy Hall is to “get your training in early; that way, you beat the heat and have time for post-session beach swim and coffee, of course! Add a summer salad that’s light and fresh, plus add fresh mango for a delicious summer vibe!

Training, Travelling and OMR: Fave Picks

If you are travelling during summer, there’s nothing more enjoyable than taking your favourite activewear so you can keep moving your body while away. Bec’s must-have pieces for summer include “the new Forest Green Set, the Blue In The Zone Set and the Electric Blue Booty Shorts”.

For Fitness Trainer Tracey Defferrad, her OMR pieces in the suitcase are the Core Scrunch Leggings in Black and the Infinity Bralette! “I love that this literally is comfortable no matter what I’m doing or where I’m flying to. I’ll be wearing an Infinity bralette as I know it goes under any top and is comfy enough to sleep in on the flight”.

Summer 2024 Fitness Goals:

For Tracey, this summer is all about balance.

“I am happily bulking in my first summer off-season after a full-on 12 months with 3 Pro Shows. My number one priority is health, hormone balance and sleep. I’m lifting four days a week, Pilates 1-2 sessions a week in class or on my own, and my step count without trying is about 10k.”

While Tammy is focused on her next title:

“Staying at maintenance over Xmas/NY period, then after my 40Th b’day (start of Feb), I’ll be entering a building phase for my next FMG pro show. 2024 Goals- Build me some more glutes! Obtain my Australian FMG bikini crown”.

Bec’s goal is “To keep a good routine and try to focus more on habits that will help me reach my goals rather than the goals themselves”. She’s “enjoying BALANCE this summer. Focusing on strength and not focusing on the numbers on the scales”.

Summer Recovery:

The best way to recover from the summer heat is a good swim. As Tammy suggested, “post-session beach swims or ocean dips,” and Tracey agreed “, SWIM! Use the summer heat and the fact we are a nation of waterways, pools and beaches to recover easily with low-intensity swimming, water running, or floating around and let the stresses leave tight and stiff muscles and joints”.
